This Privacy Policy explains how the FastFlex mobile application (“FastFlex”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information. FastFlex is an intermittent-fasting timer that is designed to be local-first: it works fully on your device without an account and without sending your data to us or anyone else.
We have no user accounts and no server that receives your personal information. FastFlex has no login, and we do not collect names, email addresses, location, contacts, or your fasting and health data on any server. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
The one exception is advertising: FastFlex shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To show ads, AdMob collects and processes your device’s advertising ID and limited app-interaction data (for example, that an ad was shown). This is handled by Google, not stored on our own servers. See the Advertising section below for details and how to control it.
To do its job, FastFlex saves the following locally on your phone only (using your device’s standard app storage). This information never leaves your device and is not visible to us:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Fasting records (start/end times, target, plan) | To run the timer and show your history, calendar, and trends |
| Chosen fasting plan & custom plans | To set your fasting target |
| Weight and mood logs | So you can track them over time |
| Body measurements you enter (height, units, optional body fat %) | To estimate the energy you burn in the optional Energy section |
| Optional pre-fast check-in entries (carbs, sleep, stress, mood, and optionally waist, blood pressure, resting heart rate) | To personalise your Cell Repair Score and let you track these wellbeing trends over time |
| Energy estimates (calculated on-device from the above) | To show your live burn counter and weight trend |
| App settings & preferences (theme, coach level, notification choices) | To remember how you like the app |
| Onboarding completion | So setup isn’t shown again |
Because this data is stored only on your device, you are in control of it. See “Your choices and data deletion” below.
The on-device information above is used solely to provide the app’s features to you - running your timer, displaying your history and statistics, and remembering your settings. It stays on your device, and we do not use your fasting history, weight, or health data for advertising or profiling. The advertising ID used to show ads (see the Advertising section) is separate from this on-device data and is handled by Google AdMob.
We never sell your data, and we do not share the fasting, weight, or health information stored on your device. The only data shared with a third party is what Google AdMob needs to show ads: your device’s advertising ID and basic app-interaction data. We use no other third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. See the Advertising section for details.
FastFlex may show links to external websites (for example, recommended products in the Coach section). If you tap such a link, it opens in your device’s web browser and you leave FastFlex. We don’t send any of your personal data with these links, but the destination website is operated by a third party and is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
FastFlex requests minimal permissions. It uses internet access to open external links you tap (in your browser), to show notifications you have enabled, and to load ads from Google AdMob. It does not access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or files.
The optional Energy section can read health and fitness data from Health Connect on your Android device, but only after you turn the section on and grant permission. When connected, FastFlex reads:
This data is read only, used only on your device to calculate your estimates, and is never transmitted to us or any third party. FastFlex does not write data back to Health Connect. You can revoke this access at any time in Health Connect or in your device settings, and you can use the Energy section with manually entered values instead of connecting Health Connect at all. Health data obtained through Health Connect is not used for advertising and is not shared or sold.
FastFlex shows ads supplied by Google AdMob (a Google service). To select and show ads, AdMob may collect and process your device’s advertising ID and limited app-interaction data (such as that an ad was displayed or tapped). This is the only information FastFlex shares with a third party; your fasting history, weight, measurements, and health data are never used for ads and never leave your device.
In the UK and EEA, we ask for your consent before showing personalised ads, using Google’s consent process. You can review or change that choice at any time in the app under Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also limit ad personalisation at the device level by resetting or deleting your advertising ID in your Android settings.
New users see no ads for their first several app opens. For how Google uses data when it shows ads, see Google’s partner policy: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Any wellness information you choose to enter (such as weight, body measurements, mood, sleep, stress, waist, blood pressure, or resting heart rate) is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us. Energy and weight-trend figures in the app are rough estimates, not measurements, and are not nutritional or medical advice. FastFlex provides general educational content about fasting and is not medical advice; it is not a substitute for professional healthcare. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any fasting regimen, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under 18, have a history of disordered eating, or have a medical condition.
FastFlex is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal data from anyone, no personal data is collected from children either.
Your information is stored within the app’s private storage area on your device and is protected by your device’s own security (such as your screen lock and the operating system’s app sandboxing). Because nothing is transmitted to or stored on our servers, there is no off-device copy of your data to secure.
You can permanently delete all data FastFlex has stored at any time by:
Under the UK GDPR and similar laws you have rights over your personal data. Since FastFlex holds no personal data about you on any server, these rights are satisfied directly: your data lives only on your device and is fully under your control.
We may update this policy if the app changes - for example, if a future version changes how ads work, introduces affiliate links, or adds health-app syncing. If we make a material change to how data is handled, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above, and, where required, reflect it in the app’s Google Play Data safety section. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
